1. About SellerShield
SellerShield is an independent community platform that helps online sellers — particularly those selling on Etsy and Shopify — identify potentially predatory subscription services, token exhaustion schemes, and unfair billing practices. We are not affiliated with any of the services listed on this platform.
2. Nature of our information
All risk ratings, summaries, and trap labels on SellerShield are:
- Based on community-submitted reports from sellers sharing their genuine experiences
- Supplemented by research and analysis conducted by our team
- Opinions and assessments, not statements of verified legal fact
- Subject to change as services update their practices
We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but cannot guarantee that all information is current or complete. Listings carry a "last reviewed" indicator where possible.
3. Company responses
Listed companies may submit a response to their listing by contacting us at hello@sellershield.io. Responses are published as received and clearly labelled. SellerShield does not endorse, verify, or accept liability for company responses. Publishing a response does not alter the community rating unless our team independently reassesses the listing.
4. User submissions
By submitting a report to SellerShield you confirm that:
- Your report is based on your genuine personal experience
- You are not submitting false, defamatory, or malicious content
- You grant SellerShield a licence to publish your report on the platform
- You understand that SellerShield may edit reports for clarity or remove them if they breach these terms
We reserve the right to remove any submission that we believe is false, misleading, or submitted in bad faith.
5. No professional advice
Nothing on SellerShield constitutes legal, financial, or professional advice. If you believe you have been the victim of fraud or unfair trading practices, we encourage you to seek independent legal advice or contact your relevant consumer protection authority.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SellerShield and its operators accept no liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from use of this platform or reliance on information published here.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Tasmania.

For sellers: reporting inaccurate information
If you believe information about a service on SellerShield is inaccurate, outdated, or unfair, you can:
- Contact us at hello@sellershield.io with the subject line "Correction request"
- Include the service name, the specific information you believe is inaccurate, and any evidence supporting your correction
- We aim to review all correction requests within 14 days
For companies: responding to your listing
If your company is listed on SellerShield and you wish to respond, we actively encourage this. A fair and transparent platform includes the company's perspective. To submit a response:
- Email hello@sellershield.io with the subject line "Company response — [your company name]"
- Include your response (maximum 200 words)
- Confirm you are authorised to respond on behalf of the company
- Responses will be published on your listing page within 7 days
If your company has made significant changes to address the concerns raised — such as improving cancellation processes or clarifying pricing — please include details and any supporting evidence. We will reassess your listing accordingly.
Removal requests
We take removal requests seriously but will not remove listings simply because a company objects to being listed. We will consider removal where:
- The information is demonstrably false and evidence is provided
- The company no longer operates
- Significant verified changes have been made that address all concerns raised
We do not accept payment for removal or alteration of listings.
